To plead with the unknown,
Unbeknownst to faith,
Divine reciprocity whispers silently.
Tell me it all ends when my chest
No longer roves barefoot,
Tell me your silence
Won’t morph into the shovel warming itself
With the embers of my last hope.
Tell me these prayers I breathe life into,
When my palms elope in your name,
Will carve a path for you to
Write my name in sand,
Eternally,
Break your oath of silence
Intervene.
