Poem

Look at me
Looking at you
Do you want to see what I see??
The beauty you’ve ruined
With the lies you spewed
The heart you broke
Just being present
The broken pieces I pick up
Bleeding me dry

The joy stripped from the face in the mirror
The tears held back
Even in an empty dark room
Words unspoken
Yet felt so strongly
Just the thought of you breaks my heart
Imagine what looking at you does to me
