Searching for a hint that a leaf may fall from a tree
Trying to see if the pumpkin patch is open,
Looking for oversized sweaters
And orange candles,
Trying to feel the cold air,
Putting pumpkin spice in my latte,
Counting down the days to Halloween
Playing old movies as I keep looking at the trees,
Foraging orchards trying to recreate memories
Hoping that September will arrive soon this year,
I miss wearing hats,
And jumping in leaf piles,
I yearn to see the leaves and their different colors,
Until then I will wait happily for the season.
