Mother by Tshegofatjo

does your mother know her amens are receipts for your dreams unhappening?
does she know her prayers mispronounce your dreams?
do you tell your mother that the answer to her prayers chops himself every midnight
to rearrange his parts into a language
she can understand?
does she know that every word failing
to reach god from her mouth falls onto you?
does she know the weight of what you are carrying?
can she see your breaking?
