Now that they know by Kwasa

Poem

what happens
when secrets come out?
do they explode
So loud that everyone may hear
or steam out
from a simmering pot?
now that they know,
does the world stop and
reconsider its axis,
does time mound around you
at that moment
like secrets
you have kept?

Poet Bio

Mlondi Kwasa Ndlovu is an environmental science student, and a budding poet most content with experimenting on paper than in a laboratory. He actively searches for his voice in poetry through avant-garde jazz. Drowning in ee Cummings and Coltrane’s Ascension all at once, he tries not to be an odd twenty-year-old.
