The end of his turbulence awaited him at the top of the hill,
With the rising of the sun,
And the warm glow of its yellow rays.
He would utter the words that had emerged from the depths of his soul.
He left home at the cock’s crow,
Embarking on his journey with mixed emotions.
But faith was the elixir of redemption,
And belief was the gateway to a new life.
A sage had told him that he would find redemption on a hill,
Adjacent to the Iroko tree,
And that the yellow sun would open the door leading to salvation,
A path that would end the trails of darkness.
As he stood on the hill,
The words surfaced from his depths with the ascent of the sun.
There was a rush and a whoosh,
And he felt something release from within him.
Just as the sage had predicted,
It marked the beginning of a new dawn,
The start of the elements of a new life,
He discovered the light but struggled to find the stories to tell.
