Budding saps of white flowers,
Changing and growing each hour.
Don’t they deserve to be protected?
From a world infected by lies, and hatred.
For a flower to grow it needs sunlight and oxygen,
Should we deprive children of such things?
To run and to play safely,
Shouldn’t we ensure that the streets suit such needs?
If we lock them up, mask them up,
We are taking away the things that they require.
Flowers that cannot grow become weeds,
Is it logical to put barriers up against our own babies?
