Paper Oceans by Pi

Love has cost us distance
taught us
despair,
and we learned
to unfurl our wings to the fullest
and sail on,
Love has taught us life.

A life of a river,
failure of a rock
and waves of expectations
Love has taught us colours
From blood red
to bruised blue,
Light of hope
or, darkness of demise

Love has taught us distance,
one we can fold
and surmount time,
has us build a bridge
from here to nowhere
A thin stretch
A soul searching
Love has sewn
Us
strange than life.

Our will is an oar
in this boat
as we sail
our
paper oceans.
