Pause, Plot and Play by Obialor

Poem

Pause for a moment,
Look into the deep,
Summon the elements,
Visualize them go miles for you.

Plot your desires within your chamber,
Chase away the shadows,
Cast out the night,
Let light pervade your desires’ room.

Play out your desires,
See your dreams take the stage,
Hear them speak,
Watch until the curtain falls.

There should be a moment for self,
A time to take the books off the shelf and turn their pages,
A time to breathe in the fragrance of nature,
There should be a moment to embrace the serenity of solitude.

Pause in the fast lane,
Plot in the glow of light,
Play the rejuvenated dreams,
Live in their life forms until there’s a departure into the night.
