Petals of Perseverance by Beula Lewis

Poem

A lonely rose
need not stand
and pose,
for it knows its worth!

Through withering storms
the rose endured,
its outer layers
thickened and secured.

It shall stand in beauty,
and any hand that comes
to destroy will know
it is not just a toy.
