Phoenix tattoo in my summer by BL Dineo

Poem

From ashes, I rise,
pandiculating,
feeling the playfulness of the wind, tousling.
The calling from the fibre of my being
like sunbirds in a hot-coloured garden, singing
it’s time to thrive darling.

Ripe and ready,
clothing myself with my
cherry blossom, lotus pink, golden experiences.
Spreading my sun-kissed wings,
like sunshine after rain,
to thrive, to own my summer season.
