DSHAMILJA ROSHANI is a 25-year old Berlin-based poet, writer and performer of German-Iranian descent. In their work, Dshamilja paints vivid yet fluid images that examine the complexity of self and social relations. Emerging from a compassionate and honest place, their poetry confronts, critiques and questions, it explores possibilities of healing and embarks on constant journeys of transformation.
Having performed on various platforms in Germany and South Africa such as Pick Me Up Poetry, The Word N Sound Digital Slam, Berlin Spoken Word and Wicked Poetry Slam, Dshamilja is passionate about growing and connecting different art communities. This includes collaborating with various artforms and thus pushing the boundaries of spoken and written word by merging it with other disciplines. Most recently, they have been featured in a virtual exhibition by She Impressions, a platform showcasing and supporting womxn artists from different disciplines.
