iDLE (Keneilwe Mohutsiwa) is a poet and software developer and digital specialist. He has performed at the MIPF (Maun International Poetry Festival), The Swedish Poetry Exchange, Bangwaketse Culture Day and other shows.
He has also featured as a walk-in performer at the University of Botswana literature lessons. He has shared the stage with some of Botswana’s most renowned poets including Barolong Seboni, Moroka Moreri, TJ Dema, Tsiki Tsiki, Berry Heart and various others.
As a recording artist, he has released two contemporary singles and won a BOMU (Botswana Music Awards) award for Best Folklore.
iDLE has collaborated with some of Botswana’s best artists including Frost (Morwalo album 2018), MMP Family (MMP On A Mission 2018). He has helped edit 3 books one of which has already been published. 2019 saw iDLE perform alongside Frost at The Frost Unplugged event. He recently released an EP titled (iDLE – A Dummie’s Guide To Understanding iDLE EP – 2019) iDLE writes and performs in Setswana. His style has a modern feel with an authentic traditional foundation. This has helped him bridge the divide between the new & old generation.
