Noluthando Buthelezi is a Johannesburg based Writer, Speaker, News Anchor and Social Entrepreneur. She holds a qualification in Media Studies and has been active in the Radio, Television and Print journalism spaces since 2013. She is also a renowned performance poet with several poetry slam championship titles and notable awards to her belt from marking just over 10 years of experience in the art industry.
Her work in both the media and the arts respectively has led to the birth of a successful blogging career, a theatre production as well as a facilitating, coaching and consulting firm. She is the ambassador of Poetry And Current Affairs, an initiative aimed at driving content that provides a raw insight into social issues that affect South Africa on a daily basis with the core focus on some of the biggest news headlines which grip the country on a daily basis. Buthelezi deliberately employs journalistic principles in her writing to marry the disciplines of Journalism and poetry with the view that:“Poetry has the potential to be what journalism is to society”
