The first Saturday of the month only means one thing…a feast of poetry and live music in the city.
Join us on the 3rd of August as we welcome Megan Godsell, Makhafula Vilakazi and the Zuko Collective to our stage.
Then of course there’s that (not so) little matter of the hottest open mic in the country. Last month No Life FINALLY broke the number 2 curse and took the much-deserved title of King of the Mic. Question is…will the King be overthrown? And is it time for a Queen to rule again?
Don’t miss out on all the excitement and keep an eye on the official Word N Sound blog (www.wordnsound.wordpress.com) for interviews and videos of our esteemed performers ahead of the show.
Don’t forget to bring books to donate coz our mission of building libraries in township schools is only growing in strength.
venue: Market Theatre Lab, Newtown, Johannesburg (Bus Factory)
date: Today, 3 Aug, 12pm
entry: R50
