I can count all my hair
In one hand
Too few
Like these tasteless
Words trapped
Under my tongue
A poet’s wishlist
Of things to say,
So now I am preparing
The salt
To make these thoughts edible
Before they leave my mouth
To become a poem
On someone’s table.
