Primal And Upright by Laeeq Orrie

Poem

In the heart’s core, where shadows dance,
Primal urges surge, wild and untamed,
Blood and fire, raw and relentless,
A storm of sinew and spirit.

Integrity stands, a sentinel unwavering,
Rooted in the marrow of our being,
Guiding light in the tempest,
A beacon through the chaos.

The clash, fierce and consuming,
Desire’s flame against honour’s shield,
Tearing at the seams of the soul,
A war waged within silent chambers.

Echoes of ancestors, primal and pure,
Whispered wisdom in the dark,
A call to balance, to harmony,
To rise above the fray.

In the end, a synthesis,
Raw emotion tempered by truth,
The primal and upright converging,
Forged in the crucible of self.
