Promise land by Hazel Tobo

Hazel Tobo | October 16th, 2017 | poetry | No Comments

Poem

The people
The talks
The hopes
The hunger,
The killings.
We have died at the hands of politics,
We have learned to write poems from promises,
We are tigers, that failed to prey on the antelope,
A tiger for a tiger.

Poet Bio

Hazel is an author of My Broken Azania, a self-published poetry anthology and Psych Ward Blues, her latest autobiographical novella. She is a poet, photographer and aspiring filmmaker.
