Providence by Stephen Kingsnorth

Poem

Plant feet deep earth, break surface roof,
rise to the sun, bend to the wind,
an edging glean, as airborne swoop,
and countless flitters flying by.
Feed everyone from fruitful berth,
who by their birth fulfil their share
in serving earth despite the dearth,
of those committed, kingdom-dare,
holistic, wholesome, human worth,
alongside nature’s providence.
