Rainbow Nation by Zahra Kucuk

Zahra Kucuk | April 23rd, 2024 | poetry | No Comments

Poem

Spectral colour dances and shifts
scattered by a CD hung on a yellowwood tree
a fractal rainbow diffracted through
a pinpoint hole
refracted until it bends just right
to converge on the water’s surface
and penetrate into the blue
reflected back into the world
flinging light in all directions
hoping the rays will reach home
