My fleeting thoughts, slipping like quicksand into my consciousness.
The pendulum of a clock,
whisking time back into history,
through my attic of memories,
of when I was six,
eking out the last of my ice cream.
Giggling, excited, riding a bright yellow pony,
the wind falling on my lips
and cheeks,
I must have been happy then.
