Poet Bio

I’ve said my goodbye.
Cried again.
Cried some more.
My lungs are raw.
This, somehow worse than before.
I lie to myself,
tell myself,
it will be better this time around.
Still alert to the sound of your voice.
Letting you go, slowly.
Again, the difficult choice.
I miss you.
I miss you.
It’s only been an hour.
