Poem

If I were a man without limbs
How I’d swear the world would be mine
I’d run a quarter mile
And hold her hand soft and high

If I were a man without sight
I’d see the world go blind
And watch as her eyes brighten up the sky

If I were a man without ears
I’d hear all the lies
And her voice just melodious through time

If I were a man without speech
I’d taste the bittersweet
And ask her to be mine
