Silent Winter by Van Black

Poet Bio

I would like to decorate this silent winter
With melodic voice notes and last month’s poignant pictures
Yet my heart still weighs heavy far beneath deeper
While the memories in my left eye are starting to wither
As does the spineless skeletons found in your closet
Somewhat sloppy and indelicately cheaper
The thought of buying it has been but a stinger
With the bits and pieces yet still linger’ …
The mistake is merely mine for digging slightly deeper
P.S I loved you in the summertime and more so this winter

For olyt.
