I arrive and set foot inside.
All black gear, ready for anything
But yearning for something:
An authenticated connection.
But it is never accessible as I thought
So close, yet so far.
I graduate and I suit up.
Arriving punctually to the graduation event
I sit and look at the programme,
Wondering if the second go-round is enough
But after temporary celebrations,
I am back to redundancy –
So close, yet so far
To take it back,
I am on a date.
She arrives.
We activate activities.
And it ends.
The attempt expired.
I pursue on.
But I will always know –
That it is never a complete arc without
The Admission of:
So close, yet so far
