It was the last sunset,
The final day in the world we know,
The last day in the home we cherish,
No more golden skies at twilight.
They came for us,
Foretelling the loss of our home tomorrow,
A future we couldn’t yet see,
A reality we were struggling to grasp.
We were taken to another land,
A place where daylight refreshes and invigorates,
A land where twilight unveils tales and mysteries,
A realm where the full moon brings blessings.
We were told that nature is in tears,
That it is weary and frail,
We were shown the days to come,
Our homeland was in chaos and confusion,
The atmosphere was gloomy and tense,
There was a battle between humans and machines,
A relegation of humans by AI.
It was the first sunset,
On the first day in a new world,
The inaugural day in a place we hope to call home,
Yet we were only troubled by the disparity in existence.
