writing prompt… Spirits of Tembisa by Moses Molelekwa

grace
in our non-whiteness, separated by racial segregation
from the mightier and lighter coloured you were formed our kasie, elokishini the place of hope, etembisa
your hope fueling our need for survival
as we find ourself in political domesticity
our dreams nurtured by the blood of ones such as you
the young,black and talented
our souls ululates to your soulful sounds
as we dance the nights away forgeting for a while
the challenges of the day
our hips swaying to the native rythms of a talented afrika
our artistic voices recoilling in anger and agony
the spirits of our land awake igniting hopes
in our once lost souls
the reaffirmations run true isethembiso
our place of hope, TEMBISA
