i don’t fit in.
i don’t blend in.
i don’t conform.
in a world full of black and grey,
I’m the colour.
The sunflower among the daisies.
Sometimes
I’m the distasteful olive in a salad.
Or the lemon that turned too sour.
Yet
i like it
’cause i get to be myself
in a world that wants to be
everybody else.
