Supernatural Being by Sara Altman

Poem

The way the wind forces everything around it to bend:
It blows in on some hot or cold night
Flattens the landscape
Transmits shivers

No one can attest to the wind’s history or character
According to lore he acts gracious to the humble
tortures the rest-
then blows out of town
