Poem

The book of myths has a glorious story,
A fantastic truth spun, out loud.
There may be lessons of some past glory.

Oft’ told by elders, a bit hoary,
It’s a pause for the crowd.
The book of myths has a glorious story.
Tales from a kingdom’s quarry,
‘Tho exaggerated a bit, so proud,

There may be lessons of some past glory.

It crossed the sea in a stout dory,
Great acts of bravery, the heroes are endowed.
The book of myths has a glorious story.

Drawn from the mind’s deep satori,
So subtle as the passing cloud,
There may be lessons of some past glory.

Gather these tales in their own category,
Wrap them is their own bright shroud.
The book of myths has a glorious story,
There may be lessons of some past glory.
