When a sense of death flows through
my arteries and veins and numbs me,
I ride the path of rhythms and lyrics.
I leave my bones and skins, my ears
and eyes to the vehicle of eternal music.
When the other world beckons me to
abandon the present; I enter into
the world of syllables and metaphors.
I play jugglery with words and letters,
with silence and whispers.
The death-sense escapes to a forest
I visit often. There, I play hide and seek
with trees and bushes; with squirrels and
birds; with rains and sun. And also, with the
fugitive death-sense I find in fallen leaves.
