WHEN DID YOU START WRITING AND WHAT WAS YOUR MOTIVATION?
I started writing in High school in 2003. Poetry was introduced to me by my life orientation teacher who had founded a writer’s club for students, where I proceeded to fall in love with the art of it and I have not laid my eyes off it since.

IF YOU WERE GIVEN THE TASK TO ENCOURAGE THE YOUTHTO WRITE, WHAT WOULD YOUR WORDS TO THEM BE?
Each generation has a story to tell and writing ensures that the current generation’s story is preserved so that the one coming after us will learn from us just as we did from older generations. So write to tell your story, leave footprints that will not be erased by mere wind.

WHO DO YOU LOOK UP TO?
I look up to fellow writers because we all have different stories to tell yet share a vision, without realising it.
