The Lonely Traveller by Francis Conlon

Poem

The lonely traveller needs a pause,
Times are so hectic on the schedule,
Making the moments all too full.
A quiet space does not break the law.

Recall past travel with wind and sail,
Round capes of Horn and Good Hope,
Waves and storms with which to cope.
Yet, brave souls crossings did prevail.

Now, by air is travel faster,
Connections made around the globe,
As if you were the forecaster.

Plan and schedules do follow their code,
Still, for many you are the master.
Take meditative time, let the soul probe.
