The Loss Of The Vision by Bandile Nkala

Bandile Nkala | July 1st, 2026 | a poem a day challenge | No Comments

Poem

I cannot see.
The brightness dims
No views open more
I get caught up.
Trapped,
Stuck,
And in fear
I stutter and mutter words
That willingly force survival out of me.
Because
I know I lost my will
My route for my way
Since the core has lost its power
My internal GPS gets lost easily.
As I embrace the road to nothing

I know I am…

Lightened and let the winds
Sweep and swarm my end
But like the dark.
I stay still and
embrace it all.
