The Mask will fall by Lerato Ramalapa

Poem

The Sweet nothing of words
Entwine humanity in the web of lies and deceit
We smile, yet we know the truth
But still choose to live in denial

They say ignorance is bliss
Until it’s too late

If we do not fight for a better today,
Tomorrow will be tarnished

The mask will fall
And humanity will lay bare
At the hands of the unknown
