Poet Bio

In the cold, still morning air,
a silent call awakens me
when the world is asleep
and I am alone with You.

In a few hours, I will be plagued
by the routine and monotony
Of daily life –
Emails, domestic chores, family duties.

But for this moment,
when my forehead touches the prayer mat,
before the birds sound their songs across the sky
the world and her chaos is silent
and I remember the lesson
my mother once taught me –

the morning is Sacred.
