I wear these insecurities like a cloak
And the fear weighs far more than it should
The walls around me threaten to fall
As the cracks increase I know that they would
All that’ll be left are the exposed emotions
Bare like a heart without the rib cage
But with that uncovering I face my inhibitions
To shed this weight tugging at the calm
Hope washes o’er me like a thousand oceans
Though I’m not there I see rest on the surface
