Here in the waters
Are the songs of many swallowed in war
Are the struggles of muted voices and their mourners
Are the tears of martyred cultures, the river banks are sore.
In caves echoes wisdom muffled by oppression and new age ditties
Jazzed into villages, an erasure of sincere communities
We have died
We have died
A third world war is rushing to swallow us further,
Today may we arise and awaken the songs of struggle from the waters together.
