The Sun Will Rise by Savannah Belshay

Poem

Every morning
The sun rises.
This will never stop.
Even in our trials-
Our difficult moments-
This is a guarantee.
And then
It will set
Dropping low beneath the Earth
because all things will come to an end eventually,
Even the hardest of days.

Every morning
We know the sun will rise
So we needn’t be afraid
We shouldn’t hurry about our day
anxious into the night.
The sun will rise tomorrow
In orange rays
Covering your sorrow.
