The Taxi Driver by Khomotjo Manthata

I’d like to be a taxi driver one day
Drive down the busy streets of Johannesburg.
Where rowdy taxi drivers, who are from all walks of life…

Streets hostile that you cannot stay there
Drive my way through Bree and Noord in downtown Jozi

I am the Taxi Driver…
Drive where all fear to go…
I want to be a taxi driver!

Carrying precious cargo knowing that no matter what happens it must get there.

I want to be a Taxi Driver!
