Brett Dix lectures English literature at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Besides Poetry Potion, his poetry has also appeared in the Kalahari Review and New Coin.
Dix has recently completed his first collection of poems titled Private Worlds. Many of the poems in Private Worlds deal with his father’s Alzheimer’s Disease and death. His father, Brian Dix, was a well-known Pietermaritzburg artist who exhibited his paintings and sketches at Art in the Park and the Tatham Art Gallery.
Dix also has a keen interest in animal poetry and is currently working on his second collection of poems.
