Thorns of Armageddon by Beula Lewis

Poem

Heavy stones,
pretentious tones,
internal bruises
so no one knows.

Enough!

For your hand has been dealt so many times,
to familiar ears,
it sounds like chimes.

But not for the rose
which comes with thorns;
it shall bring Armageddon
down upon
those who pose
with ill intent.

The rose shall leave a dent
do not pretend to be a friend!
