On the stage, Nthabiseng Malaka is known at Thoughts. A kasi girl from Tembisa, 1632 representing, actress, designer and poet.
IT IS SAID TO BE 9 SISTERS REPRESENTING 9 ELEMENTS THAT MAKE ONE PHENOMENAL WOMAN WHAT IS YOURS?
I represent warrior, because a woman is in a battle every second of her life, if it is not stereotypes about what she is not than it is bringing up her family with values and happiness, with the little income that she has and still see to it that her children go to bed having eaten, rather starve herself because she is strong. A woman can be faced with a storm but still stand firm and fight her way through it.
WHY DO YOU WRITE?
There’s a lot on my chest, experiences need to be written about, experiences I can’t talk about, and experiences that hide behind poetry because putting them bluntly is too much exposure. I write to release tension… and sometimes it’s just Thoughts sharing her thoughts
WHY DO YOU THINK SISTERHOOD IS VITAL?
Sisters need to bond, we have had enough of the PHD’s (pull her down syndrome). Sisters need to lift each other up, even outside of family bonds. It is important that the little girls grow up with sisterhood around them. Togetherness is important in the rise of humanity, especially for sisters.
