Poem

What is truth?

Truth is,
no-one knows
for sure.
It is impossible
to comprehend,
yet so simple
even a child
can understand.

Truth is
my mother tongue.
Not just a language.
But a way of life.
It is constant,
and greater than
a hundred lies.

And it hurts
like brand new shoes.

Truth is
rejected
by foolish kings.
And revered
by those willing
to hear it.

All day long
the birds proclaim
its glorious name.
Like angels, riding
on the clouds
of heaven.
Yet, so many refuse
to see it.
