How frail is life
How sweet is youth
But speeds away; the bitter truth
I hold off inner strife
The fire still burns
At times it is dim
My thoughts turn grim
The heart still yearns
Time rolls past
Her hands reach out
All end to doubt
The die is cast
The path is dark, the storm ahead

Mohamed grew up in The Netherlands were he pursued studies in Medical Biology. Following time spent in South African he currently works as postdoctoral researcher in New York City. He likes to write poetry in his spare time in addition in practising the martial arts of Kendo. His work has not yet been published.
