Poem

How frail is life
How sweet is youth
But speeds away; the bitter truth
I hold off inner strife

The fire still burns
At times it is dim
My thoughts turn grim
The heart still yearns

Time rolls past
Her hands reach out
All end to doubt
The die is cast

The path is dark, the storm ahead
“Why fear my love”, to me she said
