Waiting In The Evening by Christopher Kenneth Hanson

Poem

While in wait,
under orange trees
bluebirds flew above me

they had made small nests
with twig and branch

they had sung melodies by the sea
and where I sat upon the shore

and as the moon rose,
I could see their shadows
moving through the pale light.
