The island of my soul holds
umpteen tales in beautiful ways.
The moonlight fades
amidst her splendour as
I witness her aura on the dinner table.
Her phone rings and she bids adieu;
hastily, she drops her earrings; I pick it up.
Under the pretext of
returning the earrings, I yearn for her glimpse.
Next day, she asks for the meeting venue.
I didn’t recall any place except the walls of my heart.
