We were never made (here) by Reign Moses

Poem

How did it feel when time stopped running?

We swung our legs to the ticking clock,

Our words were fashioned not to bleed but mock.

How did it feel to live a lie?

My web spun with each dream stolen,

Our tresses have kissed empty hands that once cradled our fallen.

How did it feel, my dear,

When you watched yesterday’s hopes tear?

For we, we were never here.
