Wishful Thinking by Written Alphabetically

Poem

Why should we barter for sanity? I believe there is none left; it is lost along with hope in history.
How do we repeat the same feat, infected by the same disease, and let lies be our remedy?
How does profit still dictate our space? All it breeds is tyranny. This should be worrying.
We have become information mules. tools of insanity. Truth becomes subjective, dependent on likeability.
Truth becomes a conspiracy, the choices we make individually affect society, currently ruled by vanity .
It never ends, our thoughts we waste, minuscule differences we let it rule, unconsciously.
Carry the hate of our ancestors because we are not awake. Not conscious enough to realise we’re off-road and need to apply the brake. Sanity returns when we take responsibility, become consciously aware of our actions,
Adjust our mistakes, and let go of hate. When we put life above greed, a dire need, drop our masks, and stop being fake. I guess that’s wishful thinking, maybe I’m pipe-dreaming, yet I sincerely hope you can relate.
